One of the potential problems that can occur when using coatings outside in the Australian sun is that the coatings will go brittle and begin to peel away. The amount of work that is required to fix the surface when the coating is peeling off can be enormous. Why spend all that time and effort rectifying something that could have been avoided in the first place?

This is where the OSMO range of external Oils need to be considered.
The coatings do not peel, and they do not go dry and brittle in the manner referred to previously.

Some intricate external surfaces need to be coated with a deep penetrating oil that will both nourish the timber and that is easy to maintain. OSMO oils offer these solutions in a huge range of clear and creative coatings. Ask about the range and see if you can avoid this peeling and flaking problem.

The same principle applies internally. Sometimes we get situations where coatings begin to crack and peel. This is an inevitable part of wear in the process with plastic or polyurethane coatings. Penetrating oils do not have this problem.

It is a simple matter to use a refreshing oil to keep the surface looking good as and when needed and you know that at no point will you reach a stage where the coating begins to peel away from the surface.

So this is a classic problem that can be easily overcome by switching your painting process to include OSMO oils.
In our experience there is simply nothing better than OSMO for use on timber either internally or externally.
