Jarrah is a classic timber in our view. With the recent reduction in availability of this timber we have been hearing that there are a lot of shorts around. This is a sign of the future but we have not seen any reduction in lengths through our mills. There have always been shorter boards in Jarrah and especially since the focus on waste reduction we have seen these, but it has not been excessive. We are delighted to reassure our customers that we are able to supply all sizes and types of Jarrah from overlay flooring to decking.

The wider boards are still available in 125-135mm widths. Where the range of sizes has come from we don’t know. Each mill seems to have their own variation. As a general guide we suggest that Jarrah is ordered around 4 weeks before it is needed to ensure supply.
